Our season typically runs from April to December and we operate from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. We focus primarily on lawn and garden maintenance with a variety of plantings, and some small stone work.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00 to $25.00 /hour
Required experience: Maintenance Supervisor (1 year minimum)
Required education: Post-secondary or equivalent
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proper use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment and practices
- Provide exceptional friendly, quality service that meets or exceeds our customers’ and management’s expectations
- Attention to detail and effectively communicate with subordinates, peers and management
- Daily preparation of trucks with necessary equipment/materials for the day. Secure all equipment safely
- Perform daily circle checks
- Perform and manage landscape and maintenance tasks on clients’ properties efficiently and accordingly to the contracted specifications
- Able to provide on the job training on safety, equipment, technique, etc.
- Address questions or concerns with the clients if approached. Communicate customer’s concerns to management
- Report damaged or broken equipment to your manager immediately to get parts on order
- Complete all job site reports and report all sales opportunities to management
- Clean / blow off dirty equipment (including all mower decks) and return to storage location. Report damaged or broken equipment to your manager immediately to get parts on order
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License (class G/G2) with a clean abstract
- Experience as crew lead or supervisor
- Experience with hand tools; operating & maintaining small engine equipment
- Ability to read and write English, including maps and diagrams
- Good organizational skills, ability to complete appropriate paperwork, and possess good leadership and motivate
- Ability to work well in & promote a team environment & motivate others
- Troubleshooting, problem solving & time management skills
- Provide friendly, exceptional quality service that meets or exceeds our customers’ and management’s expectations including property recommendations
- Attention to detail and effectively communicate with subordinates, peers and his/her supervisor
- Maintain professional manner at all times on job sites
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. or more, stoop, stand and bend for 10 hours or more a day
- Available to work a varied schedule (some Saturdays) in all adverse weather conditions
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for this role
